Ambre Update - Edition 11
Welcome to the eleventh edition of Ambre Update, a monthly column to provide information and updates on ambreCTL, the proposed coal-to-liquids project near Pittsworth.
Recently, ambreCTL staff Matt Adams and Sarah Wilson attended the Pittsworth State High and Clifton State High award nights to present the $1000 Ambre Agricultural Bursary.
The Ambre Agricultural Bursary is for a Year 10 student who displays a strong commitment to the agricultural science program in a class and extra-curricular capacity, achieving high academic results and will continue to study agricultural science in Years 11 and 12.
Ambre would like to congratulate Nicole Steffens from Pittsworth State High and Jake Armstrong from Clifton State High for winning the Ambre Agricultural Bursary and we wish them all the best for their senior studies.
Matt and Sarah would also like to thank the parents and staff at both schools for the warm welcome they received at both award nights. We hope to make that the first of many award night presentations Ambre attends as we continue our strong commitment to the local community.
As part of the ongoing engineering and technical development of ambreCTL, technical studies have continued in partnership with gasification experts Synthesis Energy Systems (SES).
Following on from the successful gasification trials in December 2010, Ambre and SES have continued to work on developing a gasification plant model based upon SES's U-Gas technology.
This partnership will assist in developing a facility that produces the highest quality sulphur-free unleaded petrol with a low operating cost, lower capital cost and an unparalleled level of safety.
